About the Scheme
Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam (KMUT) is the flagship welfare scheme of the Tamil Nadu Government providing monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 to women heads of families who meet the eligibility criteria. Launched on 15 September 2023, the scheme has enrolled over 1.15 crore women and is delivered through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
